The client contacted iKapa to carry out a complete external redecoration of the apartment building. The goal was to repair and refresh all previously painted exterior walls, soffits, and fascias, as well as the building’s mix of wooden and metal windows and doors.
Around 560m² of external walls, soffits, and fascias were pressure-cleaned and prepared. Loose and delaminated paint was removed, cracks and damaged plaster repaired, and surfaces primed before two coats of durable exterior paint went on. 24 windows and 10 doors were also redecorated — wooden surfaces were lightly sanded and exposed wood primed before painting; metal surfaces were prepared and finished using the specified direct-to-metal coating system. The project took just under two months, completed in June 2026.
This project involved several different exterior surfaces — plastered walls, timber, and metal — and each required its own preparation and coating process to achieve a consistent, durable finish across the building. Wooden, metal, and plastered surfaces can’t all be prepared and painted the same way; using the correct system for each helps prevent peeling, corrosion, and premature paint failure.
